Meghan Markle's Mother Doria Ragland Releases Sweet Statement on Welcoming Her First Grandchild
Meghan's Mom, Doria Ragland, Had the Sweetest Reaction to the Royal Baby News
Following an exciting weekend for fans of the royal family, as Princess Eugenie married Jack Brooksbank at Windsor Castle, Kensington Palace announced that Meghan Markle is expecting her first child with Prince Harry.
Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland, has always been extremely close to her daughter, so it's unsurprising that she had the sweetest reaction ever to Meghan's baby news.
According to royal commentator Emily Nash on Twitter, a spokesperson for the palace revealed that Doria "is very happy about this lovely news and is looking forward to welcoming her first grandchild." Basically, Doria is about to be the happiest grandmother of all time:
Just last month, Doria visited Meghan and Harry at Kensington Palace. Importantly, she supported Meghan as the Duchess launched her first solo endeavor as a member of the royal family — a charity cookbook created with a group of women affected by the Grenfell Fire. In hindsight, it's likely that Doria was one of the first people to find out the happy news about the royal baby:
Just yesterday, Meghan and Harry arrived in Sydney, Australia ahead of their very first royal tour together. Despite traveling for over 22 hours on a plane from the United Kingdom, Meghan looked effortlessly stylish as she arrived, ready to visit New Zealand, Fiji, and the Kingdom of Tonga, in the coming weeks.
