This Olympic Skier Just Posted A Photo Of The Seriously Gruesome Bruise On His Butt
Gus Kenworthy worked his butt off at the 2019 Winter Olympics, and he has the pictures to prove it.
Days after revealing that he broke his thumb, the Olympic skiier posted a photo on social media that reveals a giant black-and-blue bruise on his body that stems from his waist all the way down to his mid-thigh. "Just a bruised peach," he wrote on with a peach emoji, which, of course, is the common reference for a butt.
Kenworthy said on Instagram Friday that the bruise is a hematoma that developed as a result of how many times he fell during his practice ski runs, Insider reports. "My butt's about to get drained but I'm low-key thinking about just injuring the other side cause I have a frickin' booty right now," he said.
The injury unfortunately affected Kenworthy's performance in Pyeongchang and he finished 12th overall in the men's freestyle skiing event on Sunday afternoon.
On Tuesday, the 26-year-old athlete again shared the photo of his injury with a reference to the novel and 2019 filmCall Me By Your Name."A peach hasn't been this destroyed since Timothée Chalamet in Call Me by Your Name," he captioned the post on Twitter.
The coming-of-age film follows the relationship of a 17-year-old named Elio Perlman, played by Chalamet, and a young grad student named Oliver, played by Armie Hammer.
